30 Years. 30 Photos. 30 Introspections. In 2018 I turned 30 years old; an age I never thought I would reach. I decided to document this moment from the vantage point of the middle of my 30th year. What I did not want to do is conduct a stereotypical vanity based disillusioned showcase masquerading as my reality. Instead I wanted to, for better or worse, be real and raw. My current state at that moment in my life. This photo series and these introspective thoughts were all captured with that notion in mind. This is that RAW. This is 30. This is RAW30.

Nothing has brought on more depression than when I have lost focus. Stay focused or stray focus.

I believe I have the ability to see the potential in others and I try hard to encourage them. My heart has never been more broken than when I find out these people settle or worse, never even try to reach their potential.

As a child, I would have tearful outbursts from the fear of death. Growing up I never thought I would live past my twenties. Overcoming this fear in my adulthood has allowed me to discover new motives in how I live today.

The worst deception I experienced I brought on myself. Overcoming an issue or sin and suppressing an issue or sin is not the same thing.

The main thing I learned in high school was how to find commonality with people. As a result, I never had a steady group of friends. I was always the Guest Feature in everyone's else groups of friends.

Some of the biggest heartbreaks I have ever experienced did not always come from dating relationships but rather the loss of friendships.

I have discovered I am naturally more creative than competitive.

I've written numerous poems and letters to people I've interacted with along the way. I’ve had enough courage to deliver most of them.

The years of my adulthood I spent completely sober from alcohol were the most heighten years of self-discovery I have been able to experience thus far.

I grew up Catholic. I have been both an atheist and an agnostic in my lifetime. When I chose to become a disciple, it was because I was able to see past the emotional response and my own perceived intellect.
