Hey Family! We did it!
Thank you for taking the time to check this special post out. Graduation... Where do I begin? Well let’s start here. See that tassel in the picture? It may simply be just a number for some, but it represents more for me. For me it represents struggle, frustrations, joy, debt, financial aid, learning disabilities, GPA, faith, honor, family and love. Before I get into any of those things though, I do want to start off by saying thank you. I would like to start off by saying thank you to all of you who have and do support me in any type of way. Family, friends, mentors, and business partners, I am truly thankful for you. I have learned a lot these last few years, things not only my education taught me but the experiences that my education permitted. I have two older sisters and I love them both. They have their own firsts they were able to bring into our family. One of my sisters was the first one to bless my family with grandchildren, my other sister was the first one to get married. One goal I had over the course of my college career was to make sure I was the first to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in my family (if no one did before me). I wanted to change our lineage moving forward, inspiring my family to know that all things are possible for those who believe. I knew this would be no easy task with the amount of learning disabilities I discovered I had. I was not going to allow this college aged discovery deter me from my goal. Working full time and applying for financial aid, I was not going to allow the potential lack of money stop me either. This journey was not easy by any means. No path is when you are the pioneer of it. I know I could not have done it without the support of all of you. This is why I say and truly mean, WE did it! I have always been a people person. I believe I was blessed to find a program where I could study how to help, encourage, love and build people up through my faith. Any love that I have received in my lifetime, all I want to do is transfer that energy back out into the world. The Bible I read is a book that teaches me millions of ways on how to love people. That is what I ALWAYS want to stand for. That is what I want to represent more than anything. I work hard at this and will for the rest of my life. I do truly feel this is only the beginning. I cannot wait to see what is next and I am glad I am able to share this moment in life with you here today. I am truly rich, truly blessed and this is because I have people like you in my life to share my life with. You all make me feel like a man of tremendous wealth. Talk soon & God bless, MG
