One night, Pablos and I found ourselves having an amazing conversation before lights out. As iron sharpens iron, men also help one another to grow in the same way, especially when there is no ego standing in their way. We often would discuss our training and what we did well and what we needed to work on.
He spoke highly of my work (ethic), which was very humbling, but also a good reminder to appreciate the progress that I had made. He also divulged about how you can tell a lot about a man when he is pushed to his limits. He knew I was getting frustrated from one of our workouts and he had this to say:
“You must have worked very hard to control this (anger) because if your anger was a flame, you controlled it very well. You did not make a scene, or cuss, you suppressed the flame and then put it out. You put water on it, became fluid and then adapted.”
I would have never walked away with this insight had Pablos not shared what he observed. Again, I found myself humbled. I have had very few people in my life provide me with such insight about myself. Pablos was one who could study character through action and I appreciated this.
My question for you is, who is watching you and what character have you been able to show them? Talk soon & God bless, MG Edited By: DJ Williams Graphics By: Hand-Ability
